This course introduces students to the ways in which psychological theory and research in core areas of the discipline can be applied to real-world problems. Major areas of application are covered, focusing on research-informed innovations in several areas including clinical and health psychology, educational psychology, organizational psychology, and forensic psychology. Additionally, methodological challenges and ethical considerations in the application of psychological theory and research are covered. Note that this course is an excellent springboard to your MRP or thesis research.
